Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
CBT is a talking therapy that embraces the notion of changing behaviours and thought patterns. It can help support you manage problems and looks at ways of how you can cope better.
This type of therapy can help you to stop feeling overwhelmed and allows you to break down each problem into smaller and more manageable parts.
CBT is based on the concept that your thoughts, feelings, physical sensations and actions are interconnected, and that these thoughts and feelings can trap you in a negative cycle.
The counsellor will show you ways in which to tackle these issues whilst breaking the negative thought pattern cycle.
CBT is great for anyone suffering from anxiety or depression but can also be used to tackle many other issues.
